I was listening to the news last Thursday morning (Feb 19th) when I was pulled in by the news of yet another  young American casualty of the Iraq War.  This time it was a local young man,  Army Private Joanathan Roberge  from Leominster, MA.,  who was to be buried that day.  I live about 30 minutes away and decided to go pay tribute and to help record this important event.   I was very much taken back by the turnout of the city of Leominster which included It’s police, firefighters, the high school band, it’s citizens and the Patriot Guards  (a group of dedicated vets that provides escorts for milatary families

With Americans focusing their attention on the financial problems at home, the war and the sacrifices that our military is enduring is no longer getting the attention it deserves.  I hope the images that I’ve captured of the Funerial Procession will honor the memory of  Army Private Joanathan Roberge, and will help to remind us of the ultimate sacrifices that our young men and women are giving for our country, along with their families.
